Storytelling: the art of remembering civilization’s history.

History, Mythology, legends, folklore, and forgotten stories of culture are the great loves of my life. These archetypes of story postulate real world-like entities into sometimes preposterous circumstance, while doing so into avenues and environments that inspire the imagination. You can find their influence through the greatest giants and least known stories in literature; you can see their watermark on the vast worlds alien of science fiction; you can measure their heartbeat at the core of most fantasy; you can see their tales re-imagined in the greatest of protagonists in thrillers, or by the darkest antagonists of horror.

History often remembers these stories in a varying light according to the cultural highlights of the moment, but what these stories always provide is a small microscopic look into humanity’s vast past, and can even give us a glimpse into our future at-hand. It’s my belief that one should be both Epimethius and Prometheus simultaneously, the archetypes of hindsight and foresight, the two sides of what drives our success.

It is my sincere hope that my stories achieve such, where-in my writing honors the past of those who have come before me, gives reference to those who walk side-by-side with me in my life time, and provides a solid base for those who will inevitably will come in due time.

I invite you to join me and mine in a great adventure:

Sincerely,

Ean S. Mills
